New Top Gear Series trailer released – Video

New Top Gear Series (Season 23) trailer

The new Top Gear series (Season 23) will make its UK debut on May 8 and will be broadcast in the States the same month.

We all know about that infamous ‘fracas’ that, after too much drama, led to the departure of Jeremy Clarkson, James May and Richard Hammond from BBC Top Gear to a new show on America’s Amazon Prime channel. BBC had a tough time finding replacements and eventually settled for RJ and famous British car collector Chris Evans, Nurburgring instructor Sabine Schmitz, Youtube automotive star Chris Harris, Matt LeBlanc of Friends fame, motoring journalist Rory Reid and F1 pundit Eddie Jordon. Not to mention, the Stig continues to be the star.

Well, the first trailer for the new Top Gear Series has been released featuring an assortment of cars. The renewed series involves some bright colored American super cars like the Dodge Viper ACR, Ford Mustang, Chevrolet Corvette in addition to Ferrari F12 Tdf, McLaren 675 LT (with Jenson Button behind the wheel), Ariel Nomad and of course, the rusty Reliant 3 wheelers. The stunning Aston Martin Vulcan makes a special appearance.

Since Chris Harris is a late addition to the team, the teaser doesn’t feature him. Just like the cars, the selection of venues are also eclectic. The show appears to be shot in England, US, Dubai, etc. Paul Richard and Yas Marina are the circuits involved.

There is no shortage of supercars but will the new TG be as good as it used to be?

Will the Top Gear Season 23 be just as good as the previous seasons? We will have to wait and watch. Meanwhile, the original trio are in the advanced stages of shooting for their new show for Amazon Prime.
