New Toyota Camry 2019 variant spied on video along with old Camry

The new Toyota Camry will be positioned on the TNGA platform that also underpins the Lexus ES300h.

The India spec Toyota Camry has been spied on test in Bengaluru; ahead of official launch in India in 2019. The new Camry has already been launched in Thailand where it is noted with new gen updates.

2019 Toyota Camry sedan receives a new design language. It is built on Toyota’s New Global Architecture platform. On the outside, India bound Camry will sport new fog lamps positioned lower on the front bumper, LED headlamps with auto headlamp on function, LED fog lamps and LED rear combination lamps.

It will sport a shark fin antenna, panoramic glass roof and will sit on new 19” alloy wheels. Toyota Camry executive sedan will measure 4,885mm in length, 1,840mm in width, 1,455mm in height and gets a 2,825mm long wheelbase.

Interiors will see a host of driver and passenger comfort and infotainment features along with a list of safety features. The new Camry gets leather seating and steering wheel, dual zone climate controls, an 8” touchscreen infotainment system along with a 7” MID and 10” color heads up display.

Top spec variants will receive lumbar adjustment and ventilated seating in the front, rear reclining seats and triple zone climate control. Its safety features will include multiple airbags, vehicle stability control, traction control along with ABS and EBD which will be offered as standard.

Toyota Camry in India will be powered by a hybrid 2.5 liter, four cylinder petrol engine capable of 173 bhp power and 221 Nm torque mated to an 8 speed automatic or 6 speed CVT. Its prime competitors in the Indian market will be the Skoda Superb and Honda Accord.
