New Toyota Fortuner TRD launch price Rs 33.85 L – 10 Year Celebration Edition

2019 Toyota Fortuner TRD has been launched in India. It is a more sportier looking variant of the existing Fortuner SUV, which is on sale in the country. Available in 4X2 AT diesel variant only, this New Fortuner TRD ‘Celebratory Edition’ is priced at Rs 33,85,000 (Ex-showroom Delhi). Regular Fortuner Diesel 4×2 AT is priced at Rs 31.68 lakh, ex-sh. This makes the new Fortuner TRD edition about Rs 2.1 lakh more expensive.

Sporting Pearl White body and Black roof – a dual tone exterior colour scheme, the new Toyota Fortuner TRD Sportivo, designed by Toyota’s racing division (TRD – Toyota Racing Development), gets distinctive bright red TRD badging at the front and rear. It sits on new 18” blackened alloy wheels and gets blacked out pillars and skid plates.

Interiors get a dual tone black and maroon colour scheme seen on dashboard, door panels and seating. It gets contrasting stitching, which gives it a more sporty appeal.

The Toyota TRD Sportivo is powered by a 2.8 liter diesel engine that offers 174 PS power and 450 Nm torque mated to a 6 speed automatic. It does not get any manual transmission and also misses out on optional 4×4 drive system. The engine is a BS4 unit.

In terms of safety, the new Fortuner TRD gets – 7 airbags, ABS, EBD, Hill Assist, etc. Other features include – LED headlights, Smart key with push button start / stop, 8-way Driver & Passenger Power Seat, Park Assist: Back Monitor and Rear Sensors, Automatic Climate Control [Dual A/C] with Auto Rear Cooler, Touch Screen Audio with Capacitive Switches [DVD, BT, USB, Aux-in, 6 Speakers, NAVI, Remote], Audio, MID, Tel, Voice Recognition Switches on Steering Wheel, Cruise control, Eco and Power drive modes, Large TFT Multi-Information Display, Navigation Turn Display on MID, Fully Automatic Power Back Door with Height Adjust Memory and Jam Protection, Electrically Adjustable, Retractable Side Mirrors with Side Turn Indicators, etc.
