The iconic car which was discontinued from the Indian market a few years ago, due to low sales, is all set to make a re-entry. Already being tested on Indian roads, the new Volkswagen Beetle sports a bolder and more aggressive exterior as compared to its previous counterpart.
The Beetle in the image above, features daytime running lights, integrated spoiler, rakish roofline, squared bumpers and large wheels. It also receives a pulled back windscreen giving it a sleeker appearance.
Volkswagen Beetle is offered in three trim levels of Standard, Design and Sport while it is yet to be determined which of these trims will be making their way to India. Each trim has its own distinctive features which include keyless access, panoramic sunroof, LED daytime running lights, bi-xenon headlights and satellite navigation system.
Engine specifications includes both petrol and diesel options. Petrol options include a 1.2 liter TSI offering 105 PS power, a 1.4 liter TSI offering 160 PS power and 2.0 TSI producing 200 PS power. A single 1.6 liter turbo diesel engine option, offering 105 PS also powers the new Volkswagen Beetle.
