Ahead of the global launch of new Yamaha R15 V3, Yamaha India has updated the R15 V2 with a new feature. This is in the form of AHO or what we commonly know as Always On Headlamps.
The new R15 which is now being sold in the market comes with a headlamp switch, a feature which is being seen in all the newly launched motorcycles in India.
Yamaha R15 is built on a delta box frame which provides the rider with best in class riding dynamics. Power comes from a 150 cc single cylinder liquid cooled four stroke engine which generates maximum power of 17 PS at 8,500 rpm and peak torque of 15 Nm at 7,500 rpm. Transmission is taken care by a six speed manual gearbox.
A regular telescopic front fork and rear monoshock handle suspension duties while the wheels are retarded by a disc brake each.
Speaking about AHO, in India it was the KTM bikes which first launched the AHO feature. Recently the same feature was also seen on entry level motorcycles like the Hero Splendor iSmart. As far as Yamaha is concerned, this is the first Yamaha to get the AHO feature. We expect the entire Yamaha line-up to get the AHO feature in the future.
