New Yamaha Saluto 125 UBS and Saluto RX UBS are the company’s newest launches in India. Unified Braking System (UBS) aids improved stopping power in motorcycles. This has been done so as to meet the govt safety norms for bikes under 125cc motorcycles. These rules come into effect from 1st April 2019.
New Yamaha Saluto 125 cc UBS and Saluto RX 110 cc UBS has been introduced in all variants of both bikes. Saluto 125 cc with UBS is available in 4 graphics and colours for both drum and disc variants. Saluto RX 110 cc with UBS is available in four graphics and colours.
Unified Braking System (UBS) braking concept supports partial application of the front brake simultaneously when rear brake is applied completely. Bikes with UBS feature will have improved braking controls due to intensification of braking force. It is also known as CBS or combined braking system.
The 114 kg Yamaha Saluto 125 with UBS uses an air cooled, 4 stroke, SOHC, 2-Valve engine based on Blue Core Engine Development. Disk brake models with UBS cater to better control, and reliability. Saluto RX 110 with UBS features an air-cooled, 4-stroke, SOHC, 110cc, 2-valve single-cylinder engine, and the bike weighs in at 99 kg.
Saluto 125cc UBS with drum brake is available at a price of Rs 58,800. The disc break variant is listed at a price of Rs 60,500. Both bikes are available in Armada Blue, Sparky Cyan, and Brave Black. Those opting for Matte Green would need to shell out an extra grand. Saluto RX 110cc with UBS is available at a price of Rs 52,000 in Matte Green, Ritzy Red, and Snappy Cyan colours. Those who prefer the Darknight shade will pay a grand more.
