Next gen Audi A4 spied, gets sleek LED headlamps, tail lights
2016 Audi A4 has been testing for over a year now and test mule still wears camouflage all over the body. However, latest spy shots have revealed what the LED equipped head & tail lights on the new version will look like.
The new A4 is expected to have lower ground clearance for more engaging handling and larger overall dimensions (despite the weight reduction), given the introduction of Audi A3 just beneath A4 at a narrow price gap.
Engine options to include probably optimised versions of existing 1.4 litre, 1.8 litre and 2.0 litre TFSI petrol engines, and a new 3.0 litre TFSI unit. Diesel variants of 2016 Audi A4 will receive well acquainted 1.6 litre and 2.0 litre TDI mills, along with a newly developed 3.0 litre TDI. Transmission duties will be performed by standard six-speed manual and optional nine-speed automatic gearbox, sending power to front wheels on standard and all-wheels on optional quattro variant.
Audi A4 hybrid with petrol-electric and diesel-electric powertrains will possibly be introduced and also an A4 e-quattro version powered by one combustion engine driving front wheels and two electric motors driving the rear set.
