Nissan Motor Co., Ltd., Japan’s second-largest automotive company, headquartered in Yokohama, Japan and part of the Renault-Nissan Alliance have seen strong year to date sales across Europe. Market share increased 5.4% during the current year as compared to that experienced in October 2011. Even in markets of Russia and the UK, Nissan sales were strong with market share up 7.5% in Europe while in Russian markets year to date market share increased 4.5%.
In French markets, Nissan market share saw the highest increase by 15.1% as compared to the same period in the past year. A notable fact was that the company achieved phenomenal growth in an otherwise difficult market situation and in a market which has seen lower consumer demand and spending power. Major contenders from the Nissan lineup were the Qashqai and Juke while Nissan X Trail SUV also experience increased sales of 25% during the month of October 2012 as against sales in the same month in the previous year.
Nissan sales in Europe reached the 51,147 unit mark in European markets during the month of October 2012.Nissan is now even more committed in investing in new technologies and enhancing their product line to cater to the needs of European customers.
