Nissan only has the Kicks and GT-R currently on sale on their official website
The prevailing COVID-19 pandemic has seen an upheaval in the economy. Buyers are staying shy of auto showrooms in the fear of financial constraints and job insecurities. To help customers in these times, Nissan India has come up with several schemes and services for customers, some of which are industry firsts.
‘Job Loss Protection’ on EMIs, covers loss of job and other medical emergencies which could come up during the COVID-19 pandemic. The company has also introduced the ‘Buy Now-Pay Later from January 2021’ on select products while the ‘Zero Mile Car’ product is on offer for buyers in the used car segments.
Nissan also offers Insurance products with medical emergency and job loss protection securing EMIs. These new schemes will be valid on their recently launched Kicks petrol BS6 SUV.
For this scheme, Nissan India has entered into agreement with several financial institutions offering a range of services which includes paperless payments for car loans, special offers for women buyers and professional based schemes for salaried, self employed and also for Government and PSU employees besides for buyers in the police and agricultural sectors.
Nissan India is also redefining its pick up and drop services, promising complete sanitization process at all touchpoint on the vehicle such as on door handles, steering wheel, gear lever, window buttons, etc.
Under this scheme, even the drivers delivering the vehicles will have to strictly follow certain regulations with wearing of masks and carrying of hand sanitizers at all times. As on date, this pick up and drop facility is only available in major cities across the country but customers at other locations can also avail of this service at an extra cost.
Nissan India has also initiated the ‘We Sanitize to Protect U’ Camp which will run from May 15 to June 30. Under this scheme, the company will disinfect all cars of Nissan customers prior to them starting to drive after the lock down. All Nissan and Datsun vehicles will be covered under this scheme with all major touchpoints being disinfected for free.
If customers want their entire cars to be antimicrobial sanitized from inside and out, then that will be at an added cost. This complete antimicrobial sanitization would include use of fogging equipment inside the car to clean out AC ducts and carpets while the exterior will also be thoroughly disinfected.
Renault Nissan has also resumed production at its facility in Oragadam as per local govt guidelines, from May 4th, while dispatch of vehicles commenced on May 7th.
