Interior of the Nissan Kicks compact crossover which is all set to go on sale in Brazil in August 2016 has been revealed. The official car for the 2016 Rio Olympics will initially be manufactured in Mexico until the Brazilian plant is ready to accommodate it.
The exterior styling follows the concept’s design cues. The interior features a fresh design with a multi-layered dual-tone dashboard, contoured leather seats and plush door trims. A touchscreen 7-inch infotainment system with around view monitor, digi-analog instrument console, and a multifunction flat-bottomed steering wheel are the other key highlights.
The Hyundai Creta rival measures 4,295 mm in length, 1,760 mm in width and 1,590 mm in height, and has a wheelbase of 2,610 mm. The crossover has a seating capacity of 5 passengers.
Based on the V-Platform which also underpins the Micra and Sunny, the Kicks is expected to be powered by a 1.6-litre four-cylinder flex-fuel motor that can run on both petrol and ethanol. Transmission option is likely to include a 5-speed manual and a CVT. The engine, in its existing state of tune, puts out 116 PS. More details will be available closer to the launch.
The Nissan Kicks is a global crossover which will eventually be sold in several international markets. India is most likely to be one of them.
