Nissan Kicks SUV White with Black roof spied – Maruti S Cross rival launch soon

Nissan is getting ready to jostle for space in the mid-sized SUV segment and compete with rivals such as Hyundai Creta and Maruti S-Cross. Nissan Kicks has entered production in India and the first Kicks SUV has been rolled out of the carmaker’s Chennai plant. Designed and developed at the Nissan Design Center, Kicks is expected to be launched in January 2019.

Nissan Kicks is being promoted as a versatile SUV, suitable for both city roads and off-roading needs. Kicks is designed to be a stunner and it also has a lot of substance in terms of advanced features and technology integrations.

Nissan says, driving Kicks will be a true pleasure, as it comes with some of the first in class driving aids. It will be equipped with smart connectivity that will ensure optimal security and convenience.

Nissan Kicks makes a persuasive street presence with its LED projector headlamps with DRL, new sweptback headlamps, signature V-motion grille, wide-central airdam, door-mounted ORVMs with indicators, floating roof in contrasting colour, shark fin antenna, stylish roof rail, and R16 5-spoke machined alloy wheels. The rear section has boomerang tail lights, prominent bumper, stylish boot door, and rear diffuser.

Indian-spec Nissan Kicks will be larger in comparison to its international version. This will translate into more space on the inside for all 5 passengers. A unique feature about Nissan Kicks is that it has GRAPHENE Body Structure, which makes it safer, stronger and durable. GRAPHENE (Gravity-philic Energy Absorption) Body Structure has improved capabilities to absorb impact energy, which makes the SUV a lot safer.

New Nissan Kicks will have both petrol and diesel variants. These will be same as seen on the Renault Captur. Petrol variant will be powered by the 1.6 litre, 4 cylinder engine that delivers max power of 103 bhp and max torque of 245 Nm. Petrol engine is mated to a 5-speed manual or CVT unit. Diesel variant has the 1.5 litre engine which delivers 108 bhp. Diesel engine is mated to either a 6-speed manual or 6-speed AMT. Price expected to be in the range of Rs 10-13 lakhs.
