As Indian markets gets ready to welcome in the new Nissan Micra facelift later this year, it may be noted that the small hatch from Nissan has been revealed officially in Thailand, where it is sold under the name of March.
The Micra will continue with its 1.5 liter K9K diesel engine along with its 1.2 liter petrol engine. Nissan has not said anything on upgrading or fine-tuning these engines and so you might not see any change in performance. The engines will be mated to a 5 speed manual or X-CVT automatic.
Production of the Micra in India is localized from Renault Nissan plant at Oragadam, Chennai. Other cosmetic and performance modifications will include calibrated suspension, ECU settings adjustable headrests in rear seating and Pure Drive badges.
The new Micra also receives new panels for central air conditioning vents and music system in its interiors while exteriors will be seen with new headlamps in black and chrome, a new front grille in a bee hive pattern and revised front bumpers with a wider air dam while rear bumpers receive LED tail lights.
