Nissan Micra N-Tec special edition variant has been unveiled for Europe. The hatchback which is being shipped from Renault-Nissan Alliance’s Oragadam plant near Chennai to the old continent is approaching the end of its life cycle and this is probably the last special edition to be launched.
Based on the Acenta trim, N-Tec package includes minor cosmetic enhancements as well as new features. Visually, the special edition Micra receives a new Tungstene Grey exterior color option, 16-inch alloy wheels, privacy glasses, satin chrome accents on wing mirrors and door handles, and foglights with chrome inserts.
Interior features leather wrapped steering wheel with blue contrast stitching, dual-tone black-blue seat fabrics, and glossy black centre console with chrome accents. Micra N-TEC also sports new features such as second gen NissanConnect infotainment system, reverse parking sensors with parking measurement indication, rain sensing wipers, auto dimming headlights and automatic climate control.
The hatchback is powered by a set of Euro6 compliant 1.2-litre petrol engines. The base engine produces 80 PS and has a claimed fuel efficiency of 23.25 kmpl while the range-topping engine is good for 98 PS and 27.7 kmpl.
Nissan Micra’s sales in India could very well do with a push but N-TEC special edition would be too expensive for our market. Nissan India recently introduced a limited edition Micra X-CVT XL variant for the festive season.
