Nissan Terrano Sport Edition launched to go with the IPL 2018 fever

After receive a minor nip and tuck, the Renault Duster’s rebadged sibling, Nissan Terrano facelift was launched in India last year. Today, the company announced a special edition based on this facelifted Terrano – Sport Edition. The Terrano Sport features cosmetic updates both on its exteriors and interiors – though engine specs are to remain the same.

The Terrano SPORT edition gets dynamic body decals with an all-black roof wrap, black wrapped pillars and new wheel-arch claddings. Bold new stripes have been emblazoned on the SUV’s hood, fenders, rear bumper, and front and rear doors. The new crimson-stitched seat covers and floor mats with crimson highlights further add to Terrano’s reputation of being a stylish SUV.

While engine specifications remain the same, the new Nissan Terrano Facelift will continue to be powered by a 1.6 liter petrol and 1.5 liter diesel engine. The diesel engine will be presented in two variants – base and top end.

The 1.6 liter petrol engine will offer 85 bhp power at 3,750 rpm and 200 Nm torque at 1,900 rpm while the 1.5 liter diesel engine will be in two states of tune, offering 85 PS and 110 PS peak power. These engines will be mated to 5 speed manual which will be standard with the petrol and 85 PS diesel engine while the 110 PS diesel engine gets mated to a 6 speed MT and AMT.

With this new launch, the company will be hopeful to see an increase in market share as well.
