Sales statistics of November 2015 from various two wheeler manufacturers in India indicate a growing demand for two wheelers. While some two wheeler makers registered outstanding growth, some continued to post lack luster sales despite the recently concluded Navaratri, Dusshera and Diwali festivals.
Hero MotoCorp, leading two wheeler makers in India registered 0.6% growth during the month of November 2015. The company sold a total of 550,731 units during the month as against 547,413 units sold in November 2014.
Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India
Honda Motorcycles and Scooter India however saw sales decrease 12% during November 2015. Total sales during the month stood at 326,895 units as compared to 371,764 units sold in November 2014. Motorcycles sales dipped 23.61% with 104,490 units sold during the month as against 136,786 units sold in the same month of the previous year. Scooter sales also dipped from 216,952 units sold in November 2014 to 208,014 units sold in the last month. The same dismal picture was seen where exports of the company were concerned. Exports fell 20.16% to 14,391 units as against 18,026 units exported in November 2015.

TVS Motor Company
Chennai based TVS Motors saw sales increase 2.43% during the past month. Sales during the month stood at 225,401 units as compared to 220,046 units sold in November 2014. Motorcycle sales fell sharply by 4.93% with 82,163 units sold as compared to 86,424 units sold in November 2014 while scooter sales saw an increase of 22.21% with 76,043 units sold in the past month as against 62,223 units sold in November 2014. Exports of the company however dipped 14.26% with just 33,261 units exported as compared to 39,215 units exported in November 2014.
A marginal increase in two wheeler sales was reported by Bajaj Auto Limited. The company’s total sales stood at 3,09,673 units in November 2015 against sales of 3,09,259 units in November 2014. Motorcycles sales increased 3.4% during the past month with 270,886 units sold as against 261,948 units sold in November 2014 while exports fell sharply by 17.14% to 137,315 units exported as against 165,733 units exported in November 2014.
Bike manufacturer, Royal Enfield reported a 48% increase in sales in November 2015. The company sold 40,760 units during the past month as against 27,542 units sold in November 2014. More demand was noted for bikes upto 350cc with a 52% increase in sales in this segment with 37,544 units sold in November as against 24,610 units sold in November 2014. Sales of bikes above 350cc also saw an increase of 13% as Royal Enfield sold 3,314 units in November 2015 as compared to sale of 2,932 units in November 2014.

Mahindra Two Wheelers
Mahindra Two Wheelers (MTWL), part of the $16.5 billion Mahindra Group reported sales of 19,088 units during November 2015. 18,061 units accounted for domestic sales while the company exported 1,027 units.

Suzuki and Yamaha are yet to reveal their sales report for the month of November 2015.
