Okinawa PraisePro electric scooter launch price Rs 72k – 20 Paise per km

Electric scooter makers, Gurugram-based Okinawa Autotech, have launched their third scooter in India called the PraisePro. This electric scooter is positioned between the Praise and i-Praise Plus and is priced at Rs.71,990.

The third product in Praise family, Praise Pro electric scooter is presented in two color options of Sparkle Black and Red Black. Safety features also include central locking, keyless entry and Find My Scooter Function.

Its on board features include LED head and tail lamps, CNC machined adjustable brake levers, USB mobile charging, central locking system with an in-built anti theft alarm and halogen bulb based indicators at the front and LED units at the rear.

The PraisePro sits on 12” wheels at both ends fitted with 90/90 tubeless tyres. It gets a single piece seat with under seat storage of 7 liters. A unique feature offered on the PraisePro is the motor walk assist which allows for front and reverse motion at 5 kmph. PraisePro weighs a total of 150 kgs. It gets ground clearance of 175mm and can climb up an incline of 15 degrees.

Engine specifications on Okinawa PraisePro includes a brushless, waterproof DC motor offering power output of 1 kW (rated)/2.5 kW (peak) with a detachable 2 kWh lithium-ion battery. The battery can be charged in a matter of 3 hours.

The PraisePro receives three riding modes of Economy, Sport and Turbo. In Economy mode, top speed is at 30-35 kmph, going up to 50-60 kmph while in Sport mode and thereon to 65-70 kmph in Turbo mode. Range varies between 88 km in Sport mode to 110 km in Economy mode.

Battery is easily removable. Carry it to your office, and charge on your desk.

Suspension is via telescopic fork in the front and twin springs with dual tube technology at the rear while braking is through disc brakes at both ends with electronic ABS along with regenerative braking.

Okinawa PraisePro will appeal to the mass market segment where in it will be regaled for its affordable pricing, extended range and eco-friendly and economical commuting solutions. It comes in with detachable batteries for more efficient battery charging and is ideally suited to the daily commuting need of the public especially since Okinawa claims that PraisePro has an ultra low running cost of 20 paise/km.
