With nameplates like Bolero, Scorpio, Thar and XUV, Mahindra has emerged as one of India’s leading car makers and India’s best-selling traditional SUV manufacturer where rival brands have moved to car-like monocoque platforms. The company is also on a continuous growth trajectory with regular updates scheduled and new models in the pipeline.
There is a lot going on behind the scenes at Mahindra and a hint of it can be had with test mule sightings. The latest sighting showed a massive convoy of test mules seen in The Car Show channel containing Scorpio N facelift, production-spec Vision S, production-spec Global Pik Up (Single and Double Cabs), Scorpio Classic Pik Up (Double Cab), Thar facelift, recently launched XUV7XO, Bolero, Bolero Neo and even a few Veero CV in Chandigarh. Let’s take a closer look at them.

Scorpio N Facelift
Being India’s best-selling mid-size SUV, Scorpio N did not need a facelift, but Mahindra is updating it to bring it in line with modern equipment. We can see temporary makeshift headlights and tail lights on Scorpio N Facelift. Future test mules will be equipped with production-spec lighting elements. There are interior upgrades too including a larger 10.2-inch touchscreen and there is a possibility of front and rear ventilated seats, pano sunroof and others.

Vision S
India’s Sub 4m SUV segment is getting a new entrant with Mahindra badge. We’re talking about production-spec version of Vision S concept. S in the name might turn out to be Scorpio (not confirmed). More exterior details and interior equipment have been spied, revealing close resemblance with Vision S concept interiors showcased by Mahindra.

Vision S is probably the most buzz-worthy among all these because it is an all-new vehicle and expected to make a big splash when launched. It gets premium elements like LED lighting, panoramic sunroof, swanky interiors, new steering wheel from XUV7XO, ventilated seats with lower variants, TFT cluster, larger infotainment screens and more. It will be a sub 4m vehicle and is likely to get 1.5 Diesel, RWD, rear independent suspension and a lot more.

Thar Facelift
In 2025, there was a lot of speculation that Mahindra will launch Thar facelift (3-Door) and it was spied testing multiple times too. However, Mahindra kept Thar facelift for later and launched an update to Thar in 2025 which brought more features and equipment. Thar facelift was also a part of this convoy and it proudly dons fascia of Thar Roxx with LED headlights, DRLs and even 19-inch alloys.

Scorpio Global Pik Up
The production version of Mahindra Global Pik Up Concept is spied testing multiple times in India in both single-cab and dual-cab versions. It was also part of this huge Mahindra test mule convoy spied in Chandigarh. It is likely to share similar interiors as Scorpio N SUV as interiors of both vehicles have been spied already. While both Single Cab 2-Door and Double Cab 4-Door versions of Global Pik Up have been spied, India might only get Double Cab version.

Scorpio Classic Pik Up
This is not the first time Scorpio Classic Pik Up has been spied in India and it is not likely to be the last. It is manufactured in India and shipped to global markets like Australia where it is sold in multiple versions as Utes are quite popular down there. If Mahindra is launching Scorpio Pik Up in India (based on Scorpio N), we wish Scorpio Classic is launched below it for entry-level PV pickup truck and premium CV pickup segments.
XUV7XO, Veero CV, Bolero, Bolero Neo
Mahindra has continued testing of XUV7XO, Bolero, Bolero Neo and Veero commercial pickup truck. All of these were part of the recently spied convoy in Chandigarh. Mahindra has launched Veero CV, Bolero (likely hooked up with emission testing equipment), Bolero Neo and XUV7XO in the country already. So, these vehicles in the convoy could be support vehicles or Mahindra might be tweaking their mechanicals slightly.
