Most international brands are doing quite well in the Chinese markets as their products are being received with much appreciation by general public. The Chinese version of Peugeot 3008 is currently being manufactured at the Wuhan plant in the province of Hubei and will be sold under Dongfeng Peugeot Citroën.
Launch of the 3008 has helped expand Peugeot’s range in Chinese markets where the SUV segment is doing very well. The SUV has been restyled by the PSA styling facility in China so as to provide Chinese customers a suitable SUV that meets all their necessities. It will be equipped with either a 1.6THP L4 16V DOHC and a 2.0L CVVT L4 16V DOHC engine capable of producing 120 hp and 108 hp of power respectively. A six speed automatic transmission system and an electrical hydraulic power steering system will be integrated within this model.
Considering China as its indispensable market, Peugeot will be hoping to deliver about 40,000 vehicles by the end of the year to young and dynamic customers opting for a suitable SUV companion. It’s hoping that its continuously growing dealer network will help cater to public demand for the 3008 SUV.
