The 2016 Geneva Motor Show which is currently underway is witnessing the showcase of Nissan X-Trail and Qashqai Premium Concepts. The concepts celebrate the duo’s sales success in addition to demonstrating how tailored features and customization can enhance their appeal further.
Nissan X-Trail Premium Concept
The Nissan X-Trail is essentially a 7-seat version of the Qashqai and hence shares pretty much the entire design with its 5-seat sibling. However, Nissan’s designers have attempted to better differentiate between the two by adopting entirely different color themes for the Premium Concept derivatives. The Qashqai Premium Concept is designed by Nissan Design Europe in London while the X-Trail Premium Concept has been created by Nissan Global Design Centre in Japan.
The X-Trail Premium Concept wears white as its primary color but features contrasting faux carbon fibre and black decals on the hood and roof. The new bumper features LED foglights and a glossy black chin with copper colored skid plate. The black and copper combo runs throughout the car’s lower part of the body. The X-Trail Premium concept sits on 20-inch glossy black alloy wheels.
The interior gets natural tan leather and black combo. The seats get Ultrasuede accentuated with gold pearl leather piping on the central section of seat back and base. One can also notice the generous use of carbon fibre accents across the cabin.
Nissan Qashqai Premium Concept
The Qashqai settles for a classy matte black primary exterior color with complementing carbon fibre and copper accents all over. The car’s visual character is further enhanced by the machined 20-inch alloy wheels.
Inside, the seats are upholstered in quilted white Nappa leather while the dashboard gets carbon fibre appointments with golden copper weave. The steering wheel and gear lever boasts of black satin chrome and liquid gloss black treatment.
