The bike is sold through two company dealers in Pune and Delhi and presenting the bike to John Abraham is a marketing strategy. John is brand ambassador for Yamaha India and his contract with the company is due to expire soon. While Yamaha is mulling a renewal of contract, Piaggio has struck while the iron is hot to present him with this exclusive superbike.
A biking aficionado in his own right, Abraham adds one more super bike to his range of bikes in his garage. He owns a Kawasaki Ninja ZX11, a Suzuki Hayabusa, Ninja ZX-12 besides a Yamaha R1 and V-Max. Presenting the V-Max to director of Dhoom, Abraham bought himself a Suzuki GSX-1000RR. The new Piaggio Aprilia RSV4 now shares garage space with these bikes and Abraham aspires to be the Jay Leno of motorcycles in India.
Aprilia RSV4 R APRC edition is powered by a 999.6cc V4 engine offering 184 hp power at 12,500 rpm and 117 Nm torque at 10,000 rpm. Weighing just 184 kgs, price of this bike stands at INR 15-20 lakhs.
