Leading ATV maker Polaris Industries’ Indian subsidiary has entered into a partnership with Snapdeal, one of India’s leading online market places. Snapdeal will sell 18 models of Polaris ATVs which are priced between INR 2.86 lakhs all the way up to INR 28 lakhs.
Polaris specializes in off-road vehicles including snowmobiles, ATVs and neighborhood electric vehicles. Through this association, Snapdeal has established a presence in the adventure automobiles category. Capitalizing on its first mover’s advantage in the Indian online automotive market place, Snapdeal has roped in several automakers (both two- and four-wheelers) and is aiming to change the way people purchase automobiles.
Speaking about going online, Pankaj Dubey, MD, Polaris India Pvt. Ltd., said that the Snapdeal online platform will help customers who are outside the purview of the company’s 75+ physical touch points across the country. He also added that Polaris snowmobiles and commercial vehicles will eventually be added to the Snapdeal platform.
