Polaris India to participate in 15th Raid de Himalaya

Polaris India Pvt. Ltd. has officially announced its entry into the 15th Raid de Himalaya. The rally commenced on October 4th and will come to a conclusion on October 12, 2013 and it is for the second time round that Polaris India will be participating in the rally.

Polaris India to participate in 15th Raid de HimalayaCompany’s rider, Raj Singh Rathore will be representing Polaris in the recently launched RZR XP900. Last year as well it was Rathore who participated when he clinched the title in Moto Quad Category of Raid de Himalaya. The new Polaris RZR XP 900 is priced at INR 24,50,000/- (approx.) and will be available at all Polaris Dealerships across India.

Polaris RZR XP 900 comes in with a Polaris indigenous Optimized Mass Design. Its engine and all components are designed to offer the lowest possible centre of gravity which goes a long way in ensuring enhanced performance even of the most jagged of terrains. The vehicle is also designed to deliver excellent acceleration and less driveline noise.

Specifically built for an extreme performance Side x Side. The Polaris ProStar™ 900 engine features 88 HP, Dual OverHead Cams (DOHC), 4 large valves for high RPM power and 180 degree crank shaft for balanced performance. This delivers fast throttle response, ground breaking power and revolutionary acceleration. The innovative lightweight design features a helical cut final drive with optimized gear geometry to maximize efficiency.

Raid de Himalaya was flagged off from Shimla and will wind its way through Kaza and Monastery Necklace, Keylong and Debring when it will conclude at Leh. Polaris will be participating in X TREME 4×4 level of the rally which is the most competitive part in motorsport and which takes participants across the most complex of terrains.
