Porsche has introduced the new 911 GT2 RS in India. This track focused road legal car is priced at INR 3.88 crores and is the holder of a speed record around the Nürburgring Nordschleife with a lap time of 6 minutes and 47.3 seconds.
Porsche 911 GT2 RS was introduced at the Porsche Center Mumbai showroom. This high performance car is built of light weight material and commands a lighter weight as compared to the standard 911.
These include a carbon fiber bonnet, front wings and exterior mirror casing. It also receives air duct surrounds and a magnesium roof along with a titanium exhaust. All this allows overall weight to stand at just 1,470 kgs which can be brought down further by 30 kgs if buyers opt for a Weissach Package with carbon fiber roof and magnesium alloy wheels.
Interiors are sporty with dual tone Red Alcantara and black leather upholstery. The cabin receives sporty features and a 4.6” color display with instrument cluster offering information to the driver from an onboard computer.
Engine specifications on the superfast Porsche 911 GT2 RS is a 3.8 liter, biturbo flat engine offering 700 hp peak power and 750 Nm torque. Acceleration from 0 to 100 kmph is achieved in 2.8 seconds while top speed is at 340 kmph.
This makes the Porsche 911 GT2 RS as fast as the 918 Spyder. Porsche 911 GT2 RS gets double clutch transmission and Porsche Doppelkupplung (PDK) has also been specially customized with special features exclusively for the race track. Intelligent Shift Program augments gear shifting and Paddle Neutral offers the driver better control over the vehicle.
The Porsche 911 GR2 RS sits on ultra high performance mixed tyres. It receives Porsche Ceramic Composite Brake system as standard and rear axle steering along with active driving systems among which is PSM Sport function. To be offered from all Porsche Centers across the country, the basic price starts at Rs 38,831,000, ex-showroom.
