Porsche has unveiled an all new 911 Carrera S based sportscar named 911 Club Coupe. With the launch of 911 Club Coupe, Porsche celebrates 60th anniversary of Porsche Clubs. The first Porsche Club was launched back in 1952 by a group of seven Porsche owners in Westphalia, Germany. A second Porsche Club was formed few months later another group of six Porsche owners.

This marked the beginning of an organization which is present in 75 countries today. There are a total of 640 Porsche Clubs in the world today while the total number of Porsche owners who are registered members is well above 181,000. To honor this special organization, Porsche has developed the all new 911 Club Coupe which is seen in the images here.

The all new Porsche 911 Club Coupe is comes with a Carrera S Powerkit, which provides an extra 30 bhp power output, taking the total power output to 430 bhp. Acceleration from 0-100 kmph too has been improved to just 4 seconds.

Now we are sure that there would be many who would want to buy this special edition. But as it happens with good cars, this one too is a limited edition as Porsche will be manufacturing only 13 units of 911 Club Coupe sportscar, one of which will be not for sale as Porsche would like to have one for themselves.

For the remaining 12, interested buyers have a chance to put in their name by the 16th of June 2012. You can apply by clicking here. After a draw, the lucky 12 people will be notified and their names will be engraved on the 911 Club Coupe’s door sill. Price without taxes of this new Porsche sportscar is €142,831, or $175,580.

Celebrating 60 Years of Porsche Clubs with the 911 Club Coupe

The first Porsche was built in 1948 and the first Porsche Club was established just four years later: a group of seven Porsche drivers founded the Westfälischer Porsche Club Hohensyburg, now known as the Porsche Club Westfalen e. V., on 26 May 1952. That same year saw the formation of a second Porsche Club with six members initially – the Porsche Club Berlin e. V. The movement took off and there are now 640 official Porsche Clubs in 75 countries with a total of approximately 181,000 members. They are all enthusiastic about the Porsche brand and are part of a unique Porsche family.

To mark the 60 th anniversary, something very special has been planned. In honour of the 13 founding Porsche Club members and all Porsche Club members worldwide, Porsche Community Management has teamed up with Porsche Exclusive to create an exceptional vehicle: the 911 Club Coupe. All details can be found in the PDF attached below.

And because this 911 honoring the founding of the first Clubs is so rare, only very few Club members will be privileged to acquire it. Only 12 Club members will have the opportunity, through a lottery, to acquire one 911 Club Coupe each. One vehicle will remain at Porsche to honor the Porsche Club World.
