The Porsche Macan 2.0L petrol variant has been launched in India at INR 76.84 lakhs (ex-showroom, Mumbai). The launch of this new variant brings the entry level price tag of new Porsche Macan down from existing INR 1.02 crore for the S Diesel and INR 1.13 crore for the Turbo variant.
Promoted as the sportscar of the SUV segment, the Macan is positioned a more exclusive, upmarket and sportier alternative to the likes of Mercedes GLE, Audi Q5 and BMW X3. Porsche has started accepting orders for the new variant with deliveries slated to commence soon.

Mated to a 7-speed PDK dual-clutch transmission, the crossover is claimed to accelerate from rest to 100 kmph in 6.7 seconds. Opting for the Sports Chrono Package would reduce this time by 0.2 seconds.
Equipment highlights include the Porsche Communication Management (PCM) infotainment system, a host of driver assistance systems including lane departure warning, electrically adjustable driver seat, Alcantara inserts for the seats and the usual suite of safety features such as multiple airbags, ABS with EBD, ESP, Traction Control, and so on.
