A digital clock has started ticking on Bajaj Pulsar RS200 official website, signifying the launch date of upcoming Pulsar motorcycle.
Already revealed in Turkey, Indonesia, and Colombia (as 200 SS), this is the first time Bajaj will officially unveil Pulsar RS200 in India. Apart from being an unveil, 26th March is also the Bajaj Pulsar RS200 launch date.

Based on Pulsar NS200, Pulsar RS200 was first spied in 2013. It is powered by the same 199.5cc single cylinder engine which offers 24.4 PS at 9,500 rpm and 18.6 Nm torque at 8,000 rpm. This means, it is about 0.90 PS and 0.3 Nm more powerful than the NS200. Bajaj has already confirmed that the RS200 is the most powerful and fastest Pulsar till date.
Teaser video confirms that ABS will be on offer, but considering that Bajaj Auto plans to rival the Yamaha R15 with the new Pulsar, they might also launch a non-ABS version, which will be priced in the range of Rs 1.1 lakhs. To be heralded as the most affordable full faired bike till date, Bajaj Pulsar RS200 will be seen with dual projector headlamps, LED Daytime Running Lights, clip on handlebars and split seat. The top end variant is also expected to feature fuel injection system, and will be priced at about Rs 1.25 lakhs. Transmission will be taken care by a 6 speed gearbox.
Similar in design to the Pulsar 400 SS, which was showcased at the 2014 Auto Expo in New Delhi, Bajaj Pulsar RS200 will be produced at the company plant in Chakan near Pune. By launch date, the company targets to create an inventory of 25,000 – 30,000 units, so as to meet the demand, and keep waiting period at minimum.
