Pune owner’s Volkswagen Polo selected winner of ‘My Car Superstar’ contest
A Volkswagen Polo owned by Mr. Neelabh Khandelwal has been selected as winner of the car audition for Saif Ali Khan’s upcoming movie Go Goa Gone. This Volkswagen Polo will be seen in a number of scenes throughout the movie though unfortunately the owner of the car will be nowhere in the picture.
The contest which commenced earlier this year was announced by Volkswagen for all their customers in India. Esteemed customers of Volkswagen were provided with an opportunity to participate in an online contest where customers were expected to upload photos of their Volkswagens. A total of 480 customers participated in this unique and one of a kind contest which would give them a chance to get their cars in the Bollywood blockbuster.
Speaking of this one of a kind contest, Mr. Lutz Kothe, Head of Marketing and Public Relations at Volkswagen Passenger Cars said that the contest was exciting and unique and offered a special opportunity to Volkswagen customers in India. Volkswagen cars Beetle, Polo, Jetta, Passat, Vento, Touareg and Phaeton are offered in India.

Volkswagen, Europe?s leading car manufacturer today announced, Mr. Neelabh Khandelwal owner of Volkswagen Polo as the winner of „My Car Superstar contest?. Based out of Pune, his Polo has been chosen by the star cast and the director of the movie. Earlier this year, Volkswagen had announced the first ever car audition „My Car Superstar? exclusively for all Volkswagen customers in the country. The audition provided all Volkswagen customers the unique experience of being able to get their car to star in the movie Go Goa Gone.
Commenting on this initiative Mr. Lutz Kothe, Head of Marketing & PR,Volkswagen Passenger Cars said “It was an exciting contest and a unique way to engage all our customers. We are happy with the promising response we received on this initiative from Volkswagen.”
The audition was exclusively initiated on the Volkswagen Facebook (http://www.facebook.com/volkswagenindia) wherein customers uploaded a picture of their Volkswagen carlines. A total of 480 customers participated in the contest over a period of 10 days.
