Putrajaya ePrix on 22nd Nov, TAG Heuer Official Watch partner to Mahindra Formula E team
Mahindra Formula E team, the only Indian team on grid sees Bruno Senna and Karun Chandhok as team drivers. The new partnerhip will see TAG Heuer timepieces in the Mahindra Racing garage as it embarks on its global journey for the world’s first fully electric motor racing championship.
For drivers Karun Chandhok and Bruno Senna this association makes them TAG Heuer Brand Ambassadors. The global leader in high-end chronographs, and Mahindra Racing will work in close association for the rest of the season rest to promote FIA Formula E Championship. For race 2 of 2014 season, teams head to Malaysia, to Putrajaya ePrix, a 2.5-kilometre long circuit.
While all eyes will eb on FIA Formula E Championship sporting programme, Renault will be on track before race start with 4 Renault ZOE and 1 Renault Twizy demonstrating Renault’s Z.E. range dynamism and agility with a drivers-stuntmen team behind the wheels.
Spectators can try the vehicles in eVillage. Putrajaya is among the 1st cities with an all-electric car sharing programme and Renault Twizy and ZOE are included.
All 10 Formula E teams took delivery of a total of 40 Formula E cars for Putrajaya ePrix yesterday from official logistics partner, DHL. Running on sensitive lithium-ion batteries, teams are preparing for Saturday’s one-day event, Round 2 of 2014 ePrix.
DHL has announced its Blue Sky Transport Design Award for ideas from professional and aspiring designers in the field of future of sustainable electric transport. The judging panel will be chaired by Paul Priestman and experts from design, transport and Formula E. The winner will awarded at the final FIA Formula ePrix race in London, UK.
At the end of October, Karun Chandhok and Oriol Servia were elected as a drivers’ representative for FIA Formula E Championship along with Dragon Racing’s Oriol Servia. Both represent all Formula E drivers on multiple matters, and work in close association with Formula E organisers, and FIA. At Round 1, Karun Chandhok finished in 5th place with 10 points secured in the Beijing ePrix.
