3D Systems Corporation will be technical partners to Sahara Force India F1 Team for their 2013 Formula 1 season. 3D Systems Corporation, a leading supplier in print solutions will offer the Indian team various advantages in wind tunnel testing capacities while will go a long way in reducing manufacturing time of wind tunnel model components. This multiyear partnership between the two will also offer opportunities to Sahara Force India using 3D Systems additive manufacturing technology.
Sahara Force India has been closely associated with 3D Systems in the past and this partnership will bring the two parties into closer association in the field of rapid prototyping technology. Sahara Force India is also on the brink of launching its new 2013 car on February 1, 2013 just ahead of the pre season tests in Jerez. Force India and Caterham are yet to announce their race team drivers for the 2013 F1 season. Currently, Paul di Resta is the only confirmed driver for Force India. Nico Hulkenberg who raced for the team in 2012, has replaced Kamui Kobayashi at Sauber. The drivers in contenten for the coveted seat are reserve Jules Bianchi from thr Ferrari Driver Academy, former team driver Adrian Sutil, and Kamui Kobayashi from Sauber. The team awill roll out this year’s new car at Silverstone on February 1.
