Mr. Rahil Ansari appointed as Head of Audi India – Takes charge from Feb 2017

German luxury car brand, Audi has announced appointment of Mr. Rahil Ansari as the new head for their India operations. He takes over from Mr. Joe King who moves back to Audi headquarters in Germany.

Rahil Ansari moves to Audi India from Audi AG where he was at the helm of Global Pricing for Audi Genuine Parts for Audi AG after-sales while he has also served as Director of Network Development for Audi India in the past.

Mr Ansari is well versed in areas of Finance, Sales, Network Development, Retail operations and After-sales business and assumes office as Head of Audi India from 1st February 2017 while his predecessor Joe King moves back to the Audi Headquarters in Germany.

Mr. Thierry Lespiaucq, Managing Director, Volkswagen Group Sales India Private Limited confirms this new appointment stating that he is sure that Ansari, with his diverse global experience along with extensive understanding of the Indian automobile market will go a long way in consolidating the brands presence in the country.

As on date, models in the Audi range on sale in India include Audi A3, A3 Cabriolet, A4, A6, A8 L, Q3, Q5, Q7, TT Coupé, Audi S5 Sportback, Audi RS 6 Avant and Audi RS 7 sportback. The new Audi R8 V10 Plus was launched in the country earlier this year and was named as Supercar of The Year while the Audi Q7 was nominated Luxury SUV of the Year at the 2017 NDTV Car and Bike Awards.
