Raj Banerji appointed CFO at Apollo Tyres

Raj Banerji takes over from Sunam Sarkar. The latter has been redesignated as President, and Chief Business Officer. Neeraj Kanwar, Vice Chairman and Managing Director, Apollo Tyres says the company is moving towards its next phase of global growth. Raj Banerji has a strong international experience, and will contribute to Apollo’s overall financial health and stability.

Previously he has worked as Chief Financial Officer for the Refining business. He has had a 20 year career with BP (formerly British Petroleum) in roles in Oil Exploration, Commodity Trading, Marketing and Refining. With 24 years of working experience in Europe, Middle East, and Asia, he has overseen key functions such as Investor Relations, Corporate Finance, Planning and Performance Management, and Risk Management.

Raj Banerji reports to Neeraj Kanwar. Apollo Tyres is now poised for expansion on a global platform. Focus will be on continuously improving internal efficiency and create greater value for customers and business partners.
