Range Rover Evoque Convertible with 180 km on odo – On sale with Rs 8 lakh discount

They say that a brand new car loses a significant chunk of value the moment it drives out of the showroom. In this particular case, the almost new Range Rover Evoque Convertible which only has 180 km on its odo has lost a staggering Rs 8 lakhs. BigBoyToyz, a retailer who deals exclusively in used exotic cars has this example of unregistered convertible luxury crossover on sale for INR 62 lakhs. The new car carries a price tag of INR 69.53 lakhs (ex-showroom, pan-India).

If you are in the market for a unique exotic car and have a generous budget, this deal is certainly tempting because you get to drive home a practically brand new Range Rover Evoque Convertible at an absolute bargain. Well, we are not sure we like the way the Evoque looks with its soft-top on but without it, it certainly is a head turner. We hope there is no catch in this deal except that the vehicle belongs to 2018 model year.

The Range Rover Evoque Convertible is available only in the top-of-the-line HSE Dynamic variant in India. The topless variant is around INR 9.5 lakhs dearer than the comparable regular variant. Save for the roof, the Convertible shares its design with the hardtop version but the former is 10 mm longer. The lack of roof does not affect the luxury crossover’s off-road abilities. The Evoque Convertible has a wader wading capacity of 500 mm which is identical to that of other Evoque versions.

The fabric roof gives the car’s profile a unique appeal. It takes 21 seconds to deploy and 18 seconds to fold when the vehicle is travelling below 48 kmph. Thanks to the convertible roof, the boot space has reduced by 73 liters to 251 liters.

The Range Rover Evoque Convertible HSE Dynamic comes with a lengthy equipment list which includes 12-inch touchscreen infotainment system, 360-degree camera, Meridian surround sound system, automatic wipers, automatic climate control, Terrain Response System, front and rear parking sensors, tyre pressure monitoring system, trailer stability assist, roll stability control, traction control system, 12-way electrically adjustable front seats, and so on.

Power comes from a 2.0-liter four-cylinder petrol motor which is good enough for 241 PS and 340 Nm of torque. The crossover employs a 9-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel-drive system. The car has a top speed of 217 kmph and can accelerate from rest to 100 kmph in 8.1 seconds.
