Launch Price Rs 1.72 crores for 2013 Range Rover SUV in India

Jaguar Land Rover India launched the all new fourth generation Range Rover SUV at a starting price of whopping Rs 1.72 crores. This makes, 2013 Range Rover SUV as the most expensive car in the segment, even more expensive than the Mercedes Benz G Class.

In India, the 2013 Range Rover will be available in three trims, two of 4.4L V8 diesel and one of 5.0L V8 supercharged petrol. The diesel base is priced from Rs 1.72 crores ($315,452) while topend if priced from Rs 1.79 crores ($328,567). Range Rover petrol is priced from Rs 1.84 crores ($337,745). All prices are ex-showroom, New Delhi. Land Rover did not launch the 3.0L V6 in India.

All new fourth gen Range Rover SUV is the world’s most iconic luxury SUV, according to Land Rover. Compared to the outgoing model, this new Range Rover is lighter, stronger and more refined. It features an all-aluminum unibody structure, which reduces the weight by 420 kgs. Interiors are also refined, with an increased legroom of 4.7 inches. 2013 Range Rover will be manufactured at Land Rover’s plant in Solihull, UK, and in India authorized dealers will sell them as CBU’s.
