American motorcycle manufacturer, Regal Raptor started operating in India officially earlier this year in June, after they showcased their motorcycles at the 2015 Hyderabad Auto Show.
Regal Raptor is here in India via their association with Hyderabad based FAB Motors (Fabulous and Beyond Motors India), a subsidiary of Fabulous and Beyond Enterprises, a company worth INR 600 crores.
FAB Motors have bought the rights to distribute, sell spares, and service Regal Raptor motorcycles in India. After showcasing their product line-up (Daytona 350, Cruiser 350 and Bobber 350) at the 2015, they opened their first, and India’s only Regal Raptor showroom in Hyderabad.
Located in a posh locality (Road No. 36, Jubilee Hills), the showroom has now been gutted by fire. As per fire personnel, due to short circuit in server room, a fire erupted inside the showroom at 1:20 AM on 2nd October. The security guard from opposite building noticed smoke coming out of the showroom by 1:45 AM.
Help arrived in 10 minutes. But by that time, the entire showroom was engulfed in flames. Fire personnel managed to get the fire doused in 15 minutes. But in that time, property worth INR 2-2.5 crore was damaged.
Apart from property damage, the motorcycles inside the showroom, spare parts, ACs, expensive riding gear, etc was also damaged. Luckily, no one was injured in this incident.
As per the officials, the fire safety norms of the building were not in place, which is also the reason why the extent of damage was huge. You can see the damaged showroom in photos below.
