Renault and KONE sign agreement for fleet supply


Following an agreement signed on 21st November 2012 with KONE, French automakers Renault will among the main suppliers of their 10,000 vehicle fleet. Renault will be supplying a full range of vehicles to KONE for the coming three years. KONE, global leaders in the elevator and escalator industry zeroed in on Renault due to their extensive vehicle lineup along with their range of electric cars which will form part of their fleet all across Europe.

Renault Retail Group Nice will be supplying 800 vehicles per year to KONE in France while supplies will also be seen in France, Russia, Spain, Belgium and Sweden. Terms of contract are for three years from 2013 to 2015 during which time Renault will be supplying passenger cars and light commercial vehicles with greater emphasis on low emission vehicles and electric models.

Renault and KONE, strive through this endeavor, to bring in alternative and innovative ways to reduce carbon footprint in their fleet of vehicles while also paying equal attention to driver’s and users safety. Renault Group has a global presence selling passenger and light commercial vehicles under Renault, Dacia and Renault Samsung Motor brands. Last year the company launched a zero emission range of vehicles seen in the Fluence ZE and Kangoo ZE while this year Twizy, an urban quadricycle and ZOE were introduced.
