Duster 4×4 will receive a 1.5 liter K9K diesel engine offering 108.5 bhp power and 248 Nm torque mated to a 6 speed manual gearbox powering all four wheels. Drivers will be able to opt for three different modes to include a two wheel drive high, four wheel drive low and four wheel drive high. India will receive only this diesel engine despite the fact that the export model is offering in both petrol and diesel options.
Features on board the new Duster 4×4 will include those seen on the top end RxZ diesel variant with touchscreen infotainment system, steering mounted controls, 2DIN stereo system and rear air conditioning vents. The 4×4 Duster will also receive safety features such as keyless entry, rear parking sensors, ABS with EBD, emergency brake and dual SRS airbags.
The new Renault 4×4, the most expensive variant in the Indian range, will come in ready to compete with the Mahindra Scorpio 4×4 and the Tata Safari Storme 4×4 while price will be around INR 1 lakh more than the top spec 2WD Duster RxZ.
