Sales of the popular compact crossover SUV witnessed a sudden slump as Hyundai Creta and Maruti S-Cross landed.

Renault Duster Explore limited edition has been launched at a starting price of INR 9.99 lakhs for the 85 PS RxL variant. The 105 PS RxL variant carries a price tag of INR 11.10 lakhs.

The enhancements are purely cosmetic, starting from the bull bar with driving lights, black chrome treatment for the grille, smoked headlamps and eccentric triple racing stripes on the bonnet. Changes to the side come in the form of dark antracite alloy wheels and stripes on the lower part of the doors. The dark chrome strip on the tailgate rounds off the embellishments.

Duster Explore edition’s interior is spruced up with orange accents on AC vents, instrument console, floor mats and dual-tone seat fabrics. Steering wheel, interior door handles, centre console and gear knob surrounds sport silver inserts. Noteworthy features include cruise control, gear shift indicator and Eco mode.

Renault Duster Explore limited edition is available only in diesel variants. The 1.5-litre K9K diesel engine is available in two states of tune – 85 PS with a 5-speed manual transmission, and 110 PS with a 6-speed manual transmission.

Sales of Renault Duster have been hit in the recent months due to the arrival of fresh competition in the form of Hyundai Creta and Maruti S-Cross. The French automaker would be hoping that the Explore limited edition model would bring some attention back to its best seller.
