What was showcased as a concept to gauge customer interest back at the 2014 Sao Paulo Motor Show, has finally been launched in Brazil. Yes, we are talking about the muscular looking variant of the Renault Duster compact SUV – The Oroch Pickup.
A five seater with a cargo space of massive 683 liters, Renault Duster Oroch is based on the Dacia Duster. It is offered in a choice of two petrol engines in Brazil. The first is a 1.6l mill which generates 110 hp (115 hp with ethanol), while the larger 2.0l mill generates 143 hp (148 hp with ethanol). Both these engines are compatible with flex fuel.
The 1.6l Oroch is only offered as a FWD mated to a five speed gearbox, while the 2.0l option is offered with FWD or AWD. It also get an option of 6 speed MT or 4 speed AT. These engine options are further divided into trims – Expression 1.6 16V, Dynamique 1.6 16V and Dynamique 2.0 16V.
Features offered on board the Duster Oroch include 7 inch touchscreen with Media Nav Evolution system, piano black inserts on the dashboard and the multi-function steering wheel wrapped in leather, a seating capacity for upto 5 adults, dual airbags, ABS, power steering, air conditioning, CD MP3 Radio player, roof rails, four speakers, power windows, 16 inch dark grey alloys, parking sensors, cruise control, trip computer and much more.
