Renault Duster sales cross 150,000 units in France

During the 9 year period 2005 to 2014, that Dacia brand has been in France, the company has sold a total of 232,000 units of Sandero, 150,000 units of Duster SUV, 100,000 units of Logan MCV and 57,000 units of Logan. The Sandero was at the top of the list of best sold passenger cars in France.

Ever since June 2005 with the launch of first generation Logan sedan, the company has come a long way increasing their portfolio to 7 models as on date. These include the Logan, Logan MCV, Sandero, Duster, Lodgy, Dokker and Dokker Van which are primarily targeted to individual car buyers. Each of these models is seen with exclusive cabin space and host of on board equipment thus appealing to the luxury loving French buyer.

In just 9 years in the country, Dacia reached the fifth position in 2013 and ranks at fourth position at the end of April 2014. Its importance as a well loved brand in France is evident from the attendance at the annual Great Dacia Picnic held each year.

This year, the sixth annual Dacia Picnic is being held on Sunday June 29, 2014 at Domaine de Courson in Courson-Monteloup. Open exclusively to the Dacia community in the country a record number of participants are expected to attend. The Dacia fan following of over 220,000 strong on Dacia France Facebook page is also testimony how much the brand is revered in the country.

Duster SUV is developed by Dacia. In India as well, it is one of the best selling SUVs today. Recently Renault India crossed the milestone of selling 100,000 units of Duster’s in the country, with a special edition, price of which starts at Rs 9.9 lakhs. Renault Duster was launched in India back in July 2012.

Not only in India and France, Duster is very much in demand globally. In April this year, Renault announced that Duster sales have crossed a record 1 million units!
