Renault Duster pre-facelift unsold stock offered at Rs 80k discount

Renault India has just launched the Duster facelift at prices starting from Rs.7.99 lakhs going up to Rs.12.49 lakhs for the top spec model. It is presented in variants of RxE, RxS and RxZ, three engine options and two new color options of Caspian Blue and Mahogany Brown.

With dealerships left will piling stocks of the pre-facelift Duster, the company is offering hefty discounts and exchange offers on this stock. These discounts and exchange offers vary from dealership to dealership depending on stocks.

The Renault Duster petrol manual variant comes in with a cash discount of Rs.30,000 while this goes up to Rs.40,000 on the automatic version. Duster diesel discounts extend to Rs.80,000 along with exchange bonus of Rs.30,000. There is no discount offered on the AWD version since it is anyway a made to order model.

When compared to the outgoing model, Renault Duster facelift receives several exterior and interior updates while safety features are in line with the new order. Renault Duster facelift gets an updated front bumper dominated by a new grille with extensive use of chrome enhancing it premium appeal. It also receives projector headlamps with LED DRLs, 17” dual tone alloy wheels and a new rear bumper and tailgate with black accents.

Interiors see changes in terms of fresh upholstery, new steering wheel design and an updated MEDIANAV infotainment system with Android Auto as well as Apple CarPlay. In line with new safety norms, the Duster facelift gets front, side and pedestrian crash norms, ABS, EBD, driver and passenger airbags, rear parking sensors, seat belt reminders and speed alert system. It also gets optional safety features such as reverse parking camera, electronic stability control and hill start assist.

The engine lineup on the Renault Duster facelift see no changes and still follows the BS IV format. The 1.5 liter, 4 cylinder H4K petrol engine offers 106 PS power and 142 Nm torque mated to a 5 speed manual gearbox and CVT while the 1.5 liter, 4 cylinder dCi diesel engine is capable of 110 PS power and 245 Nm torque mated to a 6 speed manual and AMT.

There is also a 1.5 liter diesel 85 PS version with 5 MT on offer with base diesel Duster. Renault Duster facelift will continue its rivalry against Hyundai Creta, Nissan Kicks and the Maruti S-Cross.
