Renault’s C-segment entrant is set to hit the streets in Autumn, borrowing a list of petrol and diesel engines doing duty in Nissan Qashqai. And the engines employed in Renault Kadjar will all have Stop/Start technology as standard, and probably with better fuel and emission efficiencies compared to the same in Nissan’s cars, since Kadjar is a new launch.
Engine options to include 1.5 litre dCi diesel mill producing 110 bhp max power, 1.6 litre dCi generating 130 bhp and 1.2 litre TCe petrol motor pushing 130 bhp. All these will be available since the launch of Renault Kadjar.
The new C-segment crossover will be offered in both Two Wheel Drive and Four Wheel Drive variants, equipping manual and automatic transmissions. The Front Wheel Drive only models of Renault Kadjar will benefit from Renault’s Extended Grip traction control system, while All Wheel Drive (AWD) versions of the urban SUV will have three driving modes including 2WD, 4WD and auto. List of drive assist features includes reverse & park assist, rear view camera, 360-degree sensors and traffic recognition system.
Launch price of Renault Kadjar is not revealed yet, but is expected to be close to £16,000 (Rs. 15 lakhs).
