Renault Triber production starts – Space For Everything TVC video launched

Renault Triber is a joint project between Renault teams in India and France. It has entered production at the company plant in Chennai from today. It will be positioned on a CMF-A+ platform. Inspired by the Renault Kwid, the new Triber will be positioned between the Kwid hatchback and Duster SUV.

The Triber measures 3,990 mm in length, 1,739 mm in width and 1,643 mm in height while wheelbase measures 2,635mm. It is positioned in this sub 4 meter segment so as to save on higher taxes prevalent on vehicles over this 4 meter mark. It gets high ground clearance of 182mm, foldable and removable third row seats and luggage capacities extended from 84 liters in a 7 seater format, 320 liters in 6 seater format and extended upto 626 liters.

Its exteriors are seen with the latest in Renault design language with a U shaped front grille, a distinctive Renault logo, rectangular headlamps and projector beams along with LED DRLs. Interiors, which boast of a 3 row layout, are comfortable for upto 7 adults.

It gets a black and beige color scheme, sliding and reclining third row seats, rear AC and power sockets and infotainment via a large 8” touchscreen system supporting Android Auto and Apple CarPlay along with video feedback. There are also three dials on the 3.5” instrument cluster for vital driver information. Safety features include dual front airbags, rear parking sensors, speed alert and ABS which is offered as standard. The top spec model also gets reverse camera and passenger side airbags.

The Renault Triber will be powered by a 1.0 liter SCe naturally aspirated petrol engine which also powers the Renault Kwid. This engine offers 72 hp power at 6,250 rpm and 96 Nm torque at 3,500 rpm mated to a 5 speed manual transmission.
