Ahead of its launch on 28th August, YouTube channel Power Racer has posted a detailed review of the new Renault Triber. In the Renault Triber review video, you can see that the car is being tested on all sorts of roads and surfaces. From smooth tarmac to uneven surface with bumps, from city roads to hilly ghats, the video tells about Triber’s performance with 7 people on board

Renault Triber enters the highly competitive sub 4 meter SUV segment in India. It boasts of a design that is the joint efforts of Renault teams in India and France and gains design elements best suited for buyers in the country.

The new sub 4 meter, 7 seater SUV is ultra modern in design, spacious in its interior layout and comes in as a highly fuel efficient vehicle. It is based on the CMF-A platform on which the Renault Kwid and Datsun RediGo are positioned. It gets a 5+2 seating capacity with removable third row seats for added luggage space and gets design elements as seen on the Captur and Koleos sold in international markets. Exterior design elements include a large front grille with a Renault logo, wrap around headlamps with LED DRLs positioned on the lower bumper and roof rails which could be making its way onto the top end trim. In cabin features will include dual tone colors, an 8” touchscreen infotainment system supporting Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a fully digital LED instrument console and slidable and foldable second row seats.

Buyers desirous of added storage space will find the removable third row seats a great advantage. In compliance to new safety norms, the Triber will get rear parking sensors, dual front airbags, speed warning system and ABS as standard while top end variants will also get a rear parking camera and rear sensors.

Renault Triber will stand 3,990 mm in length, 1,739 mm in width and 1,643mm in height. It gets a 2,636mm long wheelbase with ground clearance at 182mm and kerb weight of 947 kgs. Boot space is at 84 liters which can be extended to 625 liters.

Engine specifications on the Renault Triber will include a 1.0 liter, 3 cylinder petrol engine offering 72 PS power at 6,250 rpm and 96 Nm torque at 3,500 rpm mated to a 5 speed manual transmission. ARAI rates fuel efficiency at 20.5 kmpl. Suspension is via McPherson strut in the front and Torsion Beam at the rear.

Set to be priced affordably between Rs.5-7 lakhs, the Triber will compete against the Datsun Go+ and hatchbacks like the Maruti Suzuki Swift besides the Hyundai Grand i10 in this range.
