Revolt electric motorcycle RV400 prices increased to Rs 1.04 lakh

Launched back in August 2019, Revolt is all set to expand to 3 new cities in the coming 5 days

Having noted outstanding success in cities of Pune and Delhi, sales of the Revolt e-motorcycles now extends to new cities of Chennai, Hyderabad and Ahmedabad. Launch in Ahemdabad is tomorrow, 29th Feb. In Hyderabad it will be launched on 2nd March, while Chennai will get the motorcycle on 5th March.

Ahead of launch in these new cities, Revolt Motors has revealed that the prices of their RV400 electric motorcycle has been increased to Rs 1,03,999, ex-sh. Price of the motorcycle earlier was Rs 98,999, ex-sh. This Rs 5k price hike is for the one time payment option. In addition to this one time price, you also have to pay a one time booking amount of Rs 3,999. Apart from that, you will also have to pay – Additional cost of registration/RTO (On Actuals) + Insurance + Smart Card + One-time mandatory charge of 4G connectivity for 3 years.

In comparison, the RV300 price for one time option is Rs INR 84,999 (plus INR 2,999 as booking amount) + Additional cost of registration/RTO (On Actuals) + Insurance + Smart Card + One-time mandatory charge of 4G connectivity for 3 years. The reason for increase in prices of RV400 is rise in input costs, reveals the company.

In addition the one time payment option, you can also chose to own the motorcycles via the MRP plan. For RV400 My Revolt Plan– INR 3,999 per month (for 38 months plus INR 3,999 as one-time booking amount). RV300 via the MRP costs Rs 2,999 per month. Waiting period has now come down to 3 months, as against the earlier waiting period of 5 months.

In terms of features, the Revolt electric motorcycles sport a fully digital instrument console offering information on speed, trip meter, range and battery power via the Revolt App. The bikes have been put through rigorous tests and comply with ARAI norms in terms of road safety and have also passed the Indian homologation tests. In Gradient Ability Tests, the Revolt electric bike has earned the gold standard for electric bikes having undertaken tests on an incline of 10.2 degrees. The battery has also passed tests related to performance, waterproofing, compliance to extreme weather conditions and battery life.

Revolt RV400 boasts of a range of 156 kms in a single charge while in Eco Mode. This goes up to 80-90 kms in City Mode while range will depend on riding style and terrain under the Sport Mode. Offering a top speed of 85 kmph, the RV400 is powered by a 3.24 kWh lithium ion battery, generating 72V power with a maximum range of 150 kms on a single charge. It gets 240mm disc brakes in the front and 240mm disc brake at the rear with adjustable monoshock as standard. It commands ground clearance of 215mm and battery charging is completed in a matter of 4.5 hours.

Revolt IntelliCorp in association with Google is offering a connected helmet with the RV400 as an accessory that enables the bike to be started with the command – “Revolt Start”. The dedicated mobile app also offers a range of features among which are satellite navigation, bike locator, real time bike information and diagnostics and geofencing. RV400 also comes in with a 5 year/75,000 km warranty and service interval of 10,000 kms. Battery warranty is 8 years / 1.5 lakh kms.
