The Road Safety seminar at Agarwal Packers’ Jamalpur Hub (GGN) highlighted the ‘Safety is not just a slogan, it’s a way of life’ theme. More than 100 drivers took part in road safety training lessons. DCP Deepak Saharan (GGN) gave certificates to the drivers. Free health and eye check up camp was organised for truck drivers. About 110 drivers attended the camp and received free eye glasses as per requirement.Rajeev Khurana (Director- Agarwal Movers Group) is glad about the training programme for drivers. Keeping in mind that truck drivers are an important group, it’s essential to introduce professionalism to the job and give them a better social standing. At present, most truck drivers in India undergo only informal on the job training. Problems are furthered owing to their poor driving habits. Agarwal Packers plans to set up a driver training institute to groom those who want to be truck drivers. Apart from training, hopefuls will be tested on driving skills, which will help improve safety on highways.
Ramesh Agarwal (Chairman- Agarwal Packers & Movers Ltd.) says as a responsible corporate entity, the company is committed to making Indian roads safer, by educating drivers and others about road safety. Agarwal Movers Group is trying to educate and accentuate drivers of today and gen next to instill road safety values from an early age.
