21 year old YouTuber from Mumbai on a road trip across India dies in accident

Jayash Oswal, a 21 year old biker from Saki Naka, Mumbai was on a cross country road trip. He is an experienced biker who has clocked over thousands of kms till date. About two months ago, he set out on his longest bike trip – to ride across the length and breadth of the country. Sadly, while doing so, he has lost his life in an accident.

Jayash’s ride was being tracked by his father Manoj Jain via a GPS. Jayash’s helmet was fitted with a ‘GoPro’ camera. Every stretch of the ride has been recorded by this camera, which police will be examining to find out the exact sequence of events that led to the fatal accident.

His recent updates on his Instagram account.

Jayash reached Nagpur, Maharashtra in the wee hours of Saturday morning (2:00 am). This is when he last spoke to his dad. He also notified his dad that he is not stopping in Nagpur, and will continue riding through the night. A few hours later (5:00 am), the local police patrol at Hudkeshwar found Jayash’s body lying in a pool of blood. He died even before he could be taken to the hospital.

Manoj, who was tracking the journey, found something amiss as Jayash’s location had not changed for a long time. Family members were trying to get in contact with Jayash when they were informed by the local police about the accident.

A case of accidental death has been registered at Hudkeshwar Police Station and investigation are underway. Jayash’s mother Rajeshree reached Nagpur on Saturday night. She stated that Jayash had been running a YouTube channel “That Apache Guy” since the past one year. He is an avid biker well versed with Indian terrain and road conditions, and was on his onward journey from Nagpur to Chennai when the mishap occurred.

As per police, it is possible that Jayash collided with a stationary truck in the dead of the night. The truck might have been parked on the side of the road without any indicator. After seeing that a biker has collided with his truck, the truck driver fled from the spot along with the truck.

I love to make videos and take photos and travel and rides these are my kinda things – Jayash Oswal.
