Rolls Royce confirms new convertible for 2016 launch

World renowned British luxury car makers, Rolls Royce revealed today that they are going to launch a new car in 2016 which will be a convertible. Though they have not revealed the name of this car, it is believed to be a Wraith coupe based open-top car.

Rolls Royce confirms new convertible for 2016 launchIn their official statement, Rolls Royce reveals that their new car will be built on the success of their current cars – Phantom, Ghost and Wraith. This new car will continue to impress the world by boldly shaping their future.

Torsten Müller-Ötvös, Chief Executive Officer, Rolls-Royce Motor Cars, said, that this new car will bring more men and women to the brand. The new Rollce Royce drophead tourer will be at the pinnacle of open top luxury cars in the world today. Peter Schwarzenbauer, Chairman of Rolls-Royce Motor Cars, said that the new car will help them fulfill their commitment of long-term sustainable growth.

As far as engine that will power this new car is concerned, expect it to be powered by the same which powers the Wraith – a V12 6.6 liter twin-turboed mill that produces 624 hp and 590lb ft of torque. Price will be higher than that of Wraith, which retails at €245,000 in Europe and Rs 4.6 crores in India.
