Powered by the same 6.6l V12 generating 570 PS at 5,250 rpm and 780 Nm torque at 1,500 rpm, new Ghost is offered in two trims – Standard Wheel Base and Extended Wheel Base, only difference being length of the car. The SWB Ghost Series II has a length of 5399 mm, while that of EWB is at 5569 mm.
First launched in 2009, this is the first ever facelift of the Ghost, which premiered at the 2014 Geneva Motor Show earlier this year. Exterior updates included revised LED headlights which are now surrounded by DRLs, a ‘wake channel’ on the bonnet and a redesigned waft line which leans further forwards, giving dynamic character to the car, slightly revised bumpers, which give a feeling that the new Ghost is wider and taller, and chrome inserts on the front air intakes.
Inside the new Rolls Royce Ghost Series II, you will find revised seats, front passenger seats with electronically adjustable thigh support, and rear seats too revised to offer more comfort. Apart from this, in the Lounge seat configuration, the two rear seats angle towards each other slightly, giving a more intimate setting to passengers.
Apart from the existing features, new Ghost comes with on-board Wi-Fi, optional 21 inch alloys in addition to standard 19 inch alloys, satellite aided navigation (SAT) as seen on board Wraith, stainless steel fuel filler caps, optional Bespoke Audio, revised instrument dials and clock, new car user interface and navigation system. Apart from this, the Spirit of Ecstasy figurine now also figures inside the cabin, on the touchpad.
