Royal Enfield Bobber teased ahead of global debut at EICMA 2018

Royal Enfield is all set to launch their most powerful and most expensive motorcycles till date in India on 14th November. These will be the Interceptor 650 and Continental GT 650.

But ahead of that, the Indian bike maker will also unveil an all new styled motorcycle, which looks very similar to the Triumph Bobber. Details are not revealed yet. All Royal Enfield has shared – is a teaser photo of the bike which can be seen below.

Features evident from the teaser photo – alloy wheels, LED circular headlight, raised handle bar, single seat, Royal Enfield logo on fuel tank, and disc brake. What is not clear is whether the bike is powered by a 650 cc twin cylinder or 350 cc or 500 cc single cylinder engine.

Earlier, it was revealed that Royal Enfield is working on new platforms. This new RE Bobber is one such motorcycle which the bike maker has planned for launch in the future. Expect the bike to be showcased as a concept at 2018 EICMA on 6th November and to be launched as production variant only by 2020.

At a time when rivals are planning to enter smaller cc segment, Royal Enfield is entering bigger cc segment.

Speaking about the upcoming RE bikes and platforms – There are multiple new bikes in the making. Two of the new bikes will replace the existing 350 and 500 cc machines. These new gen machines will comply with new emission norms. An electric motorcycle is also in the planning stage.

Interceptor 650 Twin and Continental GT 650 Twin are based on a new platform and come in powered by a 648cc, parallel twin, 4 stroke, single overhead cam, air cooled engine. This engine is capable of 47 bhp power and 52 Nm torque mated to a 6 speed gearbox with slip assist clutch.
