Royal Enfield Himalayan exhaust note – The thump is back

Royal Enfield Himalayan Exhaust Note

Launch of Royal Enfield Himalayan is scheduled for 2nd February 2016.

Officially revealed in images, Royal Enfield Himalayan is the company’s new motorcycle which has been built over a period of five years. Designed to outlast any kind of terrain, Himalayan marks the entry of affordable adventure touring motorcycles in India.

Built on a chassis designed by RE’s UK based subsidiary, Harris Performance Parts, Himalayan has been tested by none other than CS Santosh, India’s champ at Dakar Rally.

To be powered by a new 410 cc single cylinder air cooled engine, which is rated to generate 25 hp and 32 Nm, it was believed that the iconic thump, for which Royal Enfield motorcycles are known the world over, will not be on offer with the Himalayan.

But that belief is now thrashed as Royal Enfield released the video below.
PS – turn-up volume of your speakers.

To be available with a wide range of accessories, fully loaded Royal Himalayan features steel panniers at the rear, jerry cans in the front, metal structure protecting the bike, off-road tyres, raised exhaust, etc. Apart from this, standard features on offer with the Himalayan are mono-shock rear suspension, analogue / digital instrument cluster with speedometer, tachometer, odometer, altimeter, and compass.
